Build your deck to equip your heroes and place encounters to block your opponents!
The Alwaysgreen Forest is a lush, beautiful territory and the home of the Dobbers. However, there is trouble in the forest. Things are starting to die without explanation. Crops of new trees and fruit fail to mature. Most of Dobberton isn’t worried, only the king and his advisors have noticed the change.
You play a hero who has stumbled upon the cause of the spreading rot. An evil wood sprite has been eroding the veil between Life and Decay. If the divide is removed, the Shambleman will be released and the decay will be unstoppable. Your hero must find a Magical Key before the Wood Sprite. The key will unlock the Shambleman’s prison, releasing his full power of death over the land. The player to get to the key first, will save the Dobberton Kingdom and become a hero. Stories will be told for generations!
Each turn you will play cards from your hand, equipping your hero and creating effects that gain Influence Points, and Action Points, and other effects like drawing cards. Influence, most commonly Bottle Caps, is used to acquire new cards for your deck and to place Challenges in front of your opponent(s). Action Points are used to Travel and overcome any placed Challenges. The cards you have available and the Challenges placed on the board make for a constantly evolving game with surprises at every turn.
